How do we divide our workout during off-season and in-season and what should we do in between those periods?
This is a great question.
From our experience, the off-season is generally used to develop fitness gains and the playing-season is all about maintaining fitness gains.
The type of workouts will depend on your goal and that varies from person to person. When you’re trying to get fitness gains, it takes its toll on the body so you won’t be as fresh which is why it’s done in the off-season. During a playing season, you need your body to be at 100% so you try and squeeze in 1 or 2 gym sessions a week just to maintain your fitness levels!
